Home renovation involves many schemes and stakeholders. For residents, finding the right financial aid and understanding the procedures can quickly become complicated.
Led by DEAL Martinique, Martinique Rénov’ aims to make this information more accessible and to help individuals find their way in their project. AVANGARDISM supported DEAL in designing and developing the platform.
The challenge: making a complex subject accessible
The goal was to turn a dense institutional and technical environment into a clear digital experience. The platform had to help users understand the options available to them, find their way among the schemes and identify a next step suited to their situation.
The approach also had to reflect the collective nature of the project, which brings together ANAH, the Territorial Collectivity of Martinique, the EPCIs (intermunicipal authorities), ADIL and EDF, among others.
Our work: from user journey to development
AVANGARDISM handled the UX/UI design and development of the platform in support of DEAL Martinique. Our work consisted of organizing content and features around users' needs, with particular attention to the readability of information and the consistency of journeys.
The design had to make the schemes easier to understand while giving the service a visual identity consistent with its public nature. The goal: a welcoming interface where residents can move forward without having to master the vocabulary of renovation or housing aid.
Development notably included a custom simulator, connected to the aid search journey. It lets residents specify their situation to identify the schemes likely to match their project.
The platform runs within the hosting environment of the French Ministry for the Ecological Transition.
The platform's features
Access by renovation need. The site organizes information around four entry points: home improvement, energy renovation, adapting the home to loss of autonomy, and sanitation. From the home page, residents can also select the elements their work involves, such as the roof, windows and doors, electrical systems or accessibility.
A filterable catalog of financial aid. The "Financial aid" section lets users combine the beneficiary's profile, the funder and the type of work. Owner-occupier, landlord, tenant or co-owner: everyone can target the schemes that apply to them among local and national aid.
An eligibility simulator. The journey takes into account criteria such as income, the applicant's status and the type of housing to bring up the aid suited to the situation entered.
Guidance toward the right contacts. The platform helps identify the organizations to contact to start the procedures. It is an entry point to get informed and prepare a project; aid applications are then submitted to the organizations concerned.
The next phase of the project with Relais Média
Following on from the digital project, the communication was carried out by the agency Relais Média, in coordination with DEAL Martinique and AVANGARDISM.
A platform serving public action
Martinique Rénov’ brings together institutional information, a structured browsing experience and a simulation tool in a single digital service.
Through this project, AVANGARDISM used design and development to support a concrete mission: making information on home renovation in Martinique easier to access and helping individuals move forward with their project.
